Dan Wolfe as
"The Amazing EARL"
in

Dan's newest Comedy Concert takes a hilarious look at the classic "Parable of the Sower"  Featuring a bit of Gospel Magic, an appearance by "The Little Old Man" and some good old fashioned slapstick comedy from "The Amazing EARL."

Dan begins this new concert (as always) with a bit of stand-up comedy AND his testimony...presented with a Gospel Magic twist.  They never see the message coming!

"All of a sudden...it HIT me!"

Following the "opening round," Dan steps into one of his favorite characters; "The Little Old Man" who is basically a caricature of how Dan envisions himself trying to pull off his Ministry fifty years from now.

NOTE:  Video of this character can be found on the Gallery Page

This fellow lays out the basic message for the evening and reminds us all about the finer points of Christ's "Parable of the Sower" in Luke 8:5-8.  He even manages a bit of sleight of hand!

"Not bad for an old guy with arthur-itis, eh?"

Then comes Dan's classic transformation into his beloved Tramp Mime character, "The Amazing EARL"...who treats the audience with his Red-Skelton-type comic pantomime version of the story.

VIDEO PREVIEW

Here's a video clip from "Planting Seeds."

Note: The video was made during the "Comedy Crusade for Christ" Tour in 2001.  The name has been changed and the temporary "test props" have been replaced with professional versions.

The clip is less than a minute long, but you'll get the feel of it.

Becoming the frazzled Farmer, Earl attempts to plant one seed at a time.  The first seed won't go into the ground...even when he POUNDS on it.  The second seed sprouts, but has no roots at all and completely refuses to cooperate.  The third seed seems fine until choked out by a nasty WEED.  And although Earl must protect it from the elements and overly curious BUGS...the flower not only grows to maturity, but magically multiples a HUNDRED FOLD!  (Well, maybe not a hundred...but close enough.)

At the end, Dan steps out of character for a brief object lesson which winds up a program that they will never forget.
