FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE To: ALL LOCAL MEDIA From: «First Name» «Organization» «Phone» Re: “Planting SEEDS!” with Christian Comedian with Dan Wolfe 814-752-2941 http://www.dwolfe.com Christian Comedian and Mime Dan Wolfe will present his newest concert “Planting SEEDS!” at «Organization» in «Location» on «Concert Date». Wolfe describes himself as a “contagiously excited Christian” and hails from Clarington, a small village in his native Northwestern Pennsylvania. His Ministry is rather unusual. Utilizing his award-winning skills in Comedy, Magic and Pantomime, he visits nearly 200 Churches each year proclaiming his message of Love, Laughter and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “Comedy is universal,” Wolfe says. “I especially love ministering overseas. Because so much of what I do is pantomime, I don’t even have to learn the language!” In performance, Wolfe dramatizes parables from his own quirky imagination as well as familiar stories from the Bible, but from a slightly different perspective...a comic point of view. During his visit to «Organization», he will present his new concert "Planting SEEDS!"; his own humorous version of the Biblical parable of the Sower. The Concert will begin with Wolfe utilizing his skills as a professional Magician to relate his life-changing testimony. Then in his chameleon-like way, takes a few seconds to transform into a caricature of himself fifty years in the future to present the main message of the evening. “The Little Old Man character has become a real favorite with audiences over the past few years. I know I’ll never retire from what I do, but I wondered what I might be like trying to pull off this type of Ministry when I’m 85. Especially the older folks...they just LOVE him.” Changing character again, Wolfe quickly applies the makeup and dons his tattered coat to become his internationally acclaimed tramp mime character, “The Amazing Earl." On assuming character, Wolfe then begins to tell his stories in his own unique way; without saying a word. Often his ability brings to mind the great silent comedians of the past. “I really don’t mind the comparisons,” says Wolfe. “I’m honored by them! Charlie Chaplin and Emmett Kelly were great artists. A pastor once introduced me by saying that ‘If Red Skelton had been a Sunday School Teacher, he’d have been Dan Wolfe.’ I mean, how can you possibly take that as ANYTHING but a compliment?” Wolfe also directs a score of Comedy and Gospel Magic Workshops all over the U.S. each year, equipping others to help spread the Gospel using this peculiar medium. He is also a columnist for various Christian and secular magazines, writing about his craft. With eight First Place Trophies to his credit, he has been honored as Best Overall Male Entertainer by the PA/Ohio/New York/Ontario Comedy Association for an unprecedented four years in a row. "We are told to make a joyful noise," says Wolfe. "And there's no more joyful sound than laughter. If we believe the Bible when it says, ‘A merry heart doeth good like a medicine,’ then I guess you could call me a kind of Spiritual Pharmacist." Dan Wolfe will bring his special manner of Ministry to the «Organization» in «Location» on «Concert Date» at «Time». Admission is free. The public is invited to come, worship and laugh.
